Compress Garbages Hands-Free
You start filling up the trash bin and at some point, someone has to put his hands in and press everything down. Not the most enjoyable thing I agree, so you kind of ignore it hoping the next person will take care of it but it still has to be done!
But what about a hands-free solution?
Designers Hyunsoo Kim, Young min Yoon, Seunghee Son, Sukwon Park & Sungwoo Park came up with an accordion-styled trash bin that, with the lid closed, can be compressed with your foot! A very bright idea for filling more garbage in each bag before throwing it out — and keeping your hands out of the trash!
Named the ‘Armstrong bin’, this concept aims at becoming the first ‘step’ – you get it – at reducing space taken by garbage.
