Equilibrium – A Mind-Bending Bookcase
Created by designer Alejandro Gomez Stubbs for his studio Malagana Design, Equilibrium is a modern bookcase that defies gravity. It is made of modules stacked upon each other at a single angled point, creating a mind-twisting effect. It might look unstable at first sight, but this vertical bookcase is capable of holding over 160 pounds of weight over its five compartments. The modules also eliminate the need for bookends, as their tilted positions allow books and magazines to be held naturally.
