Calabarte Lamps – Carved From The Calabash Gourd Fruit

These lamps are made from dried and lignified calabash gourds, a tropical fruit originating from Africa and Asia with an homogenous and sturdy external layer, ideal for home decorations. They are hand-carved with the highest care for details, and designed to be used as table, pendant or wall lamps.
Przemek Krawczyński is the artist behind this work of art. No two Calabarte lamps are the same as he aims for uniqueness in each of his designs. Through the thousands of holes carefully carved on the unique spherical layer of each gourd, light is projected in a distinctive pattern, feeding your eyes with amusement and surprise.
